Swimming Area in Mellerud
Right next to Vita Sandars Camping is the Vita Sannar swimming area, a shallow, family-friendly sandy beach. Here you can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the view of Sweden’s largest lake. The beautiful sandy beach and shallow water make this swimming area popular with both families with children and adults who want to relax by the water.
Long sandy beach with a pier
Vita Sannar is a long sandy beach with plenty of space for both play and relaxation. There’s a pier here that leads out to rocky cliffs where you can swim or enjoy the view of Lake Vänern.
Along the beach, there are benches, changing rooms, and restrooms, making the swimming area a comfortable place to visit all day long.
Accessible & Dog-Friendly Swimming Area
The swimming area is accessible so that more people can enjoy a swim. If needed, a swimming wheelchair is available to borrow; it can be picked up at the campground’s reception desk upon presentation of identification.
Of course, your four-legged friend is welcome, too! There’s a special dog pool on the grounds where dogs can cool off.
