The Gateway to Dalsland
Dalsland Art Museum
The Dalsland Art Museum is one of the most popular cultural attractions in the region and is beautifully situated in Upperud, near Åsensbruk. The museum is known for its modern architecture and its setting surrounded by nature, with a view of Lake Spången. Here, you can experience contemporary art, design, and crafts while enjoying the Dalsland countryside surrounding the museum.
Art and Design in a Unique Setting
The museum opened in 1995 and has since become an important center for art and culture in Dalsland. It features both permanent collections and temporary exhibitions featuring artists from Sweden and other parts of the world.
The exhibitions often feature paintings, sculptures, photography, and various forms of arts and crafts. This means that every visit can offer new experiences and inspiration.
Architecture and Lake Views
The building was designed by architect Sverre Fehn and is known for its modern design that blends into the landscape. The large windows offer views of the lake and create a special atmosphere where nature becomes part of the experience.
There are also lovely walking paths around the museum where you can take a break and enjoy the view of the water and the Dalsland countryside.

Outing from Vita Sandars Camping
