The Gateway to Dalsland

Not Quite in Fengersfors

Not Quite in Fengersfors is one of the most creative tourist attractions in Dalsland. The old mill, which once produced paper, is now a vibrant cultural center filled with art, crafts, and design. Here, industrial history and modern creativity come together in a unique setting where the old brick buildings house studios, galleries, workshops, and small shops.

An Old Mill Given a New Lease on Life

Fengersfors Bruk has a long history as an industrial area. Paper was manufactured here during the late 19th century and much of the 20th century, before production ceased in the 1970s.

Since the early 2000s, the artists’ cooperative Not Quite has taken over parts of the area and transformed it into a creative hub where artists, designers, and artisans work and exhibit their pieces.

Art, Crafts, and Exhibitions

At Not Quite, there are art spaces, galleries, and studios where you can see how different artists work. Here, everything from ceramics and metalwork to design and photography is created.

Throughout the year, the area also hosts exhibitions, concerts, classes, and other events that transform it into a vibrant hub for culture and creativity.
